New program is offered for parents of children ages 3-5
The Temple College Adult Education and Literacy program, in partnership with Temple Independent School District, is proud to provide English language-learner parents of children ages 3-5 the opportunity to have a greater influence on their children’s education and future success.
Parents learn English, receive parental enrichment instruction, attend their child’s class and participate in parent-child together time.
During this 16-week cohort, digital literacy will be the main focus of learning. Personal computers and tablets are used to support English learning as well as help the parents and students learn the same technology skills.
As a parent benefits from participating in the Family Literacy Program, the child, as well as the entire family, also benefits.
Classes open Jan. 31 and run through May 25. Class times are 6-8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
